Nyx

Nyx is the Greek goddess (or personification) of night. According to Hesiod’s *Theogeny*, a description of the origins of many goddesses and gods of the Greek pantheon, she is the offspring of Chaos and sister of Erebus. She is the mother of many figures central to Greek cosmology, among them:

  • Aether
  • Sleep
  • Fate
  • Doom
  • Death
  • Dreams
  • Day
  • the Hesperides
  • Nemesis
